The Association for Women in Computing (AWC), founded in 1978, is a not-for-profit, professional organization designed for individuals, specifically women, with an interest in information technology. The AWC JHU Student Chapter is affiliated with the AWC Baltimore Chapter.

Our Vision

To combat the feminization of poverty and eliminate the barriers to financial independence for women.

Our Mission:

To deliver quality educational, mentoring, and career opportunities for students, particularly women, who desire to transition into the technology field.

Talk with professionals in the technical field who are willing to share their experiences. If you are interested in being a mentor or requesting a mentor, send an email to mentoring@awcjhu.org. Be sure to include "Mentor Program" in the email subject line.
